From the architect. A Place Of Exchanges
Springboard for the development of EDHEC group, the young campus offer a new hub in Lille metropolis. Dedicated to the education and the research,it’s open  in a economical and social environment in partnership with the companies. All the ingredients for a dynamic university are together: an education hub, an administration/research/ association hub, a catering hub,  an accommodation hub and a sports hub.

The installation of the new buildings overhang of the existing parking area guarantee the durability of the woods. The present buildings  are rehabilitated.  Among them, the J. Greber manor house and the J.P. Buffi IBM building display an architectural interest. The new objects are characterized by simple geometric forms. Their destination and situation are bring out with a different treatment for the façades. Their  position are every time defined for an element of the site: the restaurant is wind round a gigantic tree, the education hub counterpoint the IBM building…The work spaces are functional and answer to the comtort  expected for the users. Innovative services are proposed: e-learning platform, research laboratories, incubator…But the specific feature of the campus is the ability to “offer more”. The distension  of the distribution spaces  magnify the space offer. The areas of free movement, they became  independent work spaces or places of exchanges. These spaces receive associations, companies and institution when punctual  events happen in the campus calendar. The opening of the campus to the city allow a more informal way of exchanges. The amphitheater and the restaurant are available for the resident of the city. The sports hub  open is door to the associations of the borough.

The park generates a place for a walk opened to everybody. The sports and education hub achieve the HQE standard of pilot and label respectively. A land reserve between the accommodation and catering hub allows a future expansion of the campus. The 43000 m2 actual project receive about 4000 students.
